Set of 4 – $60.00 – made upon order to insure freshness.

Directions: For the best healing results – do this at least twice per day.

It is highly recommended that you use all 4 products as each one serves an important purpose.

Warm Compress – One of the goals in treating blepharitis is to soothe the inflamed eyelid and remove the crust that builds up on the eyelid and eyelashes. Using a warm compress can help to loosen the crust and bring blood flow to the eyelid, which helps to speed healing. Start with a clean washcloth and wet it with warm water. Then wring it out and place it over the affected eye for 10 to 15 minutes. Do this about three times daily to encourage drainage, reduce inflammation and speed up the healing process.

Mite-y Eye Scrub – It’s called a scrub – but don’t take that literally.  Wash your hands before applying. Massage gently on eyes, eybrows and eyelids. Leave it on for several minutes and then wash off. Repeat twice daily till the infection clears up. Close eyes firmly without squinting too much.  Don’t pull, push or pinch the delicate eye area. Note – the Mite-y Eye Scrub is made with coconut oil which hardens at 76 degrees. You may need to warm a dollop in your clean palms if the Scrub is thick. And because it is made without harsh soaps, you don’t have to worry about burning your eyes. 2 ounce jar.

MIte-y Eye Facial Wash – Use a clean washcloth and cleanse your face gently. Do not reuse the same washcloth. Always start with a clean one. 2 ounce bottle.

Mite-y Eye Spray – Mist your closed eyelids, eyelashes, eyebrows and face after cleansing and throughout the day to refresh and add a blast of antibacterial, antifungal, and antiviral tea tree oil – known to help eradicate the demodex mite. Allow the spray to air dry briefly before opening eyes. 2 ounce spray bottle.

Mite-y Eye Creme – Follow up each session to keep your skin moisterized and soft. Especially important to use at night to keep your skin hydrated and to thwart those night-time party mites. 2 ounce jar.

The Demodex count did not reach zero in any of the seven patients receiving daily lid scrub with baby shampoo. In contrast, the Demodex count dropped to zero in seven of nine patients receiving Tea Tree Oil scrub in 4 weeks without recurrence

And another: The prevalence of infestation with Demodex mites is highest in the 20-30 years age group, when the sebum secretion rate is at its highest.

Tea Tree Oil to Treat Blepharitis and Eyelash Mites

One of the most widespread uses of Tea Tree Oil (TTO_ include demodex infestations. “A retrospective review of clinical studies demonstrated that an eyelid scrub with TTO can effectively eradicate eyelid demodex and improve demodiciosis.”

TTO is a clinically effective antibacterial agent against S. Aureus, the most common culprit of blepharitis

According to the study below – daily shampooing, for at least 5 min, included massaging and scrubbing patients’ hair, head, neck and of course both eyelids and all eyelashes. Patients were advised to apply warm water or chamomile compresses onto their eyelids for 10 min just before their TTO shampooing treatment, in order to improve demodex discard during TTO eyelid scrubbing.

Nearly half of the patients were fully relieved from demodex after 1-1.5 month of shampooing, but the other half of them were not. These patients continued TTO shampooing and additionally underwent daily treatment with TTO 5-10%, diluted in mineral oil depending on the patients’ endurance to TTO ocular irritation.  Application of TTO 5-10% was done by a cotton tip onto eyelid and eyelashes. Five to ten minutes of TTO application, eyelids and eyelashes were scrubbed for approximately 5 minutes, according to bibliography. Patients were advised to perform TTO eye scrubbing twice a day. After four to six weeks of the combinational treatment using TTO shampoos and 5-10% TTO eyelash scrubbing, most of the patients were free of discomfort and demodex.
