HAIR It Is for Thinning Hair

Is your hair thinning due to age, hormones, alopecia? Would you like healthy and lustrous hair? Studies show that essential oil blends can help. With science to back our recipe and opinions below from the famed Tisserand Institute and the National Library of Medicine (see citations at link below) we have carefully created a specific blend to help.

The product is for men and women and is available as a 10ml rollerball pre-blended with a carrier oil so you don’t have to mix, drip, or drop. Simply shake the bottle and roll the blend on your entire head, concentrating on areas of concern. The rollerball acts as a mini massager and your hands stay clean and oil free. Use twice daily, once in the morning and again at night.

Made with organic ingredients and blended fresh upon order: Rosemary, Lavender, Cedarwood, Clary Sage, and Peppermint in an Apricot Kernel and Grapeseed carrier oil.

Note: Apricot Kernel Oil is a potent source of linoleic acids, oleic acids, and Vitamins A, E, and C among other nutrients that release toxins and free radicals from skin cells (in particular on the scalp). Linoleic and oleic acids help stimulate the increased hair follicle and cell growth.

Results may take several months and each rollerball can last for 30 days, depending on your frequency and intensity of use. That’s why we offer 3 packs and 6 packs with a discount price. Stock up and save! Just click your choice below.

MORE INFORMATION

1. Lavender

Studies have shown that lavender oil possesses hair growth-promoting effects. In a 2016 animal study, topical application of lavender oil proved to significantly increase the number of hair follicles in female mice. Lavender oil was also able to deepen the depth of hair follicles and thicken the thermal layer.

Lavender oil has antimicrobial properties, and it can be used to combat bacterial and fungal disorders. Some other benefits are its ability to soothe the scalp and heal dry skin and hair. Plus, because emotional stress is a factor that can contribute to thinning hair, lavender oil can be used to create a tranquil and stress-free environment.

2. Rosemary

Rosemary oil is one of the top essential oils for hair thickness and growth. It is used to increase cellular metabolism, which stimulates hair growth and promotes healing. Research even shows that rosemary oil appears to work as well as minoxidil, a conventional topical hair loss treatment. When it comes to boosting your hair health, rosemary oil can also prevent baldness, slow the graying process and treat dandruff and dry scalp.

3. Cedarwood

Cedarwood is used to help stimulate the hair follicles by increasing circulation to the scalp. It can promote hair growth and slow hair loss; it can also treat thinning hairand various types of alopecia.

A study conducted in Scotland involved 86 patients who were randomized into two groups — one group massaged a combination of cedarwood, thyme, rosemary and lavender oils in a mixture of jojoba and grapeseed carrier oils into their scalps daily. The control group used only carrier oils daily. After 7 months, 44 percent of patients in the essential oil group showed improvement of alopecia symptoms, while only 15 percent of the control group showed improvements.

4. Clary Sage

Three types of hair loss can be associated with high stress levels: telogen effluvium, trichotillomania (hair pulling) and alopecia areata. Because clary sage can be used to help relieve stress and reduce cortisol levels in the body, it works as a natural remedy for stress-induced hair loss.

5. Peppermint

Peppermint oil helps to stimulate the scalp, and it can treat dandruff and even lice due to its powerful antiseptic properties. Research shows that peppermint oil promotes hair growth too. In a 2014 animal study, topical application of peppermint oil for four weeks showed prominent hair growth effects, increasing dermal thickness, follicle number and follicle depth.

Peppermint has a pleasant cooling sensation when applied topically, and it helps calming effects help to reduce skin inflammation. In addition it also works to energize your mind, boost your mood and relieve tension or headaches.

Rosemary essential oil is a promising alternative for hair growth promotion!

BY

Androgenetic alopecia is the most common type of hair loss in both men and women. The most widely used treatment is topical Minoxidil – the active ingredient in Regaine, Rogaine and other hair-regrowth preparations.

A 2015 randomized comparative trial put the standard treatment to a test by comparing it with Rosemary essential oil.

Half of the 100 participants used 1ml of a Rosemary oil lotion (approx. 1% Rosemary essential oil) twice a day, while the other half used 2% solution of Minoxidil in the same way. After six months of this treatment, the patients were evaluated by two dermatologists, as well as through a self-reporting questionnaire.

The Rosemary oil group saw significantly better results: a greater increase in new hair growth, significant decrease in hair loss and also less side effects.

The study argues that the effects may be due to the essential oil relaxing the muscles and thus promoting better blood flow to the follicles in combination with anti-oxidant properties.

The findings are supported by a 2012 trial in which a blend of essential oils, including Rosemary, was successfully used for alopecia areata (a different type of alopecia).

Intervention: Eighty-six patients were randomized into 2 groups. The active group massaged essential oils (thyme, rosemary, lavender, and cedarwood) in a mixture of carrier oils into their scalp daily. The control group used only carrier oils for their massage, also daily.

Conclusions: The results show aromatherapy to be a safe and effective treatment for alopecia areata.
